About us

The Atlantis Dental Laboratory was founded in 2001. When you do business with the Atlantis Dental Lab, you benefit from several advantages:

Product quality: All cases we receive are treated with great care and then inspected under a microscope.

Reliable service: All parcels are picked up or delivered as agreed. Files are processed according to the client’s expectations.

Clear communication: When we discuss a case, we understand each other very well, because we use the same terminology. In addition, we do not hesitate to contact dentists when necessary.

Great skill: Our technicians are chosen for their great competence. They are also available to provide the dentist with information relating to a file. Our technicians are all members of the Ordre des techniciens dentaires du Québec.

We invite you to visit our laboratory. You will see that the Atlantis Dental Lab offers you the best.

The Atlantis Dental Laboratory holds a dental laboratory permit to operate in the province of Quebec.

Services and products

Crowns and Bridges

Porcelain fused to metal is still the most common restoration technique today.
The Atlantis Dental Lab uses the highest quality alloys and porcelain.
Metal: Our most popular alloy contains 51.5% gold and 38.5% palladium. We also offer an alloy containing 87.3% gold for a restoration made entirely of gold.
At your request, we can also use the metal of your choice.

Porcelain: Our favourite porcelain has always been Vita. Its reputation is well established. We currently use VITA VMK MASTER and Vita VM13. Both materials have interesting aesthetic qualities and quality colouring. Whether for crowns or bridges, the Atlantis Dental Laboratory is able to provide the highest quality castings, with precise marginal fit in the metalwork, and aesthetic and functional refinements in the porcelain.

It is possible to choose the shade of the porcelain, because our intention is to satisfy both the dentist and the patient.

Implants

We work with leading implant manufacturers and are able to provide you with any information that can help you complete the study (treatment) of a file.

All-Porcelain Crowns

The goal is very simple: to produce a malleable ceramic that has both the appearance of a natural tooth and exceptional durability. The results are simply revolutionary!

Generic-Pentron, the pioneer in ceramics, has developed 3G. The patented technology of 3G Esthetics allows dental laboratories to produce compliant, high-strength, lithium disilicate glass-ceramic restorations. 3G brand porcelain is recommended for anterior and posterior three-unit bridges as well as for single crowns.

Note: The all-porcelain OPC 3G crown does not contain any crystals and is extremely gentle on the opposing dentition.

Preparation of anterior teeth
Single crowns and bridge abutments:

  • Minimal tooth reduction should be 1.0 to 1.5 mm axial and 2.0 mm incisal-occlusal. Finish the preparation with a shoulder (angle of 90 to 105 degrees) with a slightly rounded gingivo-axial internal angle.
  • Place the margin at the top of the gingiva. Round off any point or angle. Remove undercuts and prepare parallel walls to form the path of insertion.
  • The occlusal reduction must follow the anatomy of the tooth, to obtain an excellent reproduction of the occlusion and an even thickness of porcelain. This contributes to the strength of the restoration.

Preparation of posterior teeth
Premolar crowns and bridges, as well as single crowns for molars only.

As you know, most of the chewing force is perpendicular to the margin. This is why a 90-degree margin is mandatory. A slight chamfer is acceptable, but the 1 mm depth and rounded 90-degree angle must be respected.

Choose the Appropriate Shade

What makes all the difference is the choice of the appropriate shade. The Atlantis Dental Laboratory pays particular attention to the aesthetics of its products. The VITA Easyshade allows us to offer you the shade that comes closest to any VITA product.

Whether it is PFM or all-ceramic, or the most demanding incisor imitation, obtaining the most appropriate shade is a guarantee of success. Thanks to the VITA Easyshade, we are able to offer you a precise shade that matches your other teeth perfectly.

Make sure you get a perfect shade easily… with the VITA Easyshade.

Ceramic Crown (Zirconia)

Zirconia ceramic is the material closest to the aesthetics of a real tooth. The alternative is a porcelain-fused-to-metal crown (the metal can be a precious metal such as gold). The advantage of a ceramic crown is that it is more translucent and does not reveal a grey line at the base of the tooth over time. In addition, it contains no metal, which is an advantage for avoiding allergies.

Removable Prostheses

Removable prostheses replace both missing teeth and the gums. Atlantis Dental Laboratory offers complete denture and partial services. We also offer acrylic occlusal splints, surgical trays and mouthguards. A repair service is also available. We only use the best products, such as Bego and Vitallium metals for castings and Lucitone 900 for acrylic restorations.

The complete denture
The complete denture is a resin base, with retention clasps, carrying prefabricated teeth and resting directly on the gums. The teeth can be reinforced resin or porcelain. They form a “false palate” that can be removed for cleaning and at mealtimes.
